The Madonna of munnezza
For this performance, Marco Iannaccone returns to the age-old problem of waste that afflicts Naples but does so in a new way, original as always and his style: he asks for help from the Madonna who becomes a symbol of the decadence of Naples. Marco / Scarlet is dressed in a suit made up of full garbage bags and located more than two and a half meters above the ground. Those present in the hall are invited to attack an ex-voto on the Madonna’s dress. On every ex-voto everyone can write wishes for the city of Naples and all that he wishes for himself and his family. In the end, Our Lady reads the wishes written on the ex voto, creating an atmosphere of peace and hope within the performance itself.
