Marco Iannaccone / Scarlet Lovejoy

Homebook

Marco Iannaccone's Homebook photography project is a colorful, transgressive, and at times delirious journey through an urban apartment building.

His attentive eye focuses on a colorful metropolitan bestiary crowded with borderline characters, expressions of a society adrift. What is most striking in Marco Iannaccone's photographs, beyond the technique, framing, and skillful use of color effects, is the irony that runs through the entire work. Thus, on a journey, we might encounter Madame Nancy Brilla, Abban Donata, Signora Trapassati, Marilyn Star, and many others—creatures born from the photographer's fervent imagination—archetypes of an apocalypse in which we all, unaware, live.
